'Wereld-Delen' is one of Flanders' largest grassroots social welfare organizations. In 2018 they celebrate their 25th birthday. Operating from the small village of Broechem, a team of nearly 200 volunteers has been fighting poverty and social exclusion in the region. They run five distinct programs. "People sometimes say we’re crazy," says then-chairperson Chris Nollet, "that we keep choosing to help people whom everyone else has written off. But we can’t abandon them. Because every single day, people still fall through the cracks." This documentary is a tribute to the power of volunteering—a call to roll up our sleeves and build a compassionate society.
